This beautiful home was the palace of the last Raja of Arakkal Abdul Rahiman Aliraja Thangal of the Arakkal dynasty. This was Kerala's only Muslim royal family that ruled over parts of the Kannur coastline and even the Laccadive islands! The lush greenery and cool breeze from the sea, combined with the environ of the stately palace, make the stay here a totally different experience. It is enviably calm and serene.
The architecture is authentically Kerala, constructed with laterite and palmwood. The green tiled roof, the magnificent fountain, the landscaped garden and the surrounding greenery with an array of diverse potted plants make it an ideally eco-friendly environment.
This is an ideal venue for large conferences and small Business meetings. There are two conference halls of different capacities with the latest audio visual facilities, manned by experienced staff. The larger conference hall can accommodate upto 200 persons.
The magnificent lawn offers a green welcome of shrubs and trees. The little fountain with the rockery at one corner is indeed an ideal setting for a romantic candle-lit dinner and for parties and wedding functions.
The A/C mini conference hall can seat upto 30 persons. This is ideal for small Business meetings. Apart from this, other facilities include fax, e-mail, internet and computers.
